We are in a war that is being fought around the world and here at home. It is a battle against evil, terror and fear. It is basically a battle for the mind of man. Paul describes this battle in his second letter to the Corinthians:
“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NIV).
These words indicate that our warfare is not with conventional worldly weapons, but with the powerful arguments of truth that can demolish all false pretensions that array against the knowledge of God revealed in the Bible. Continue reading “THE BATTLE FOR THE MIND”
